Snagging From Other Places...

Okay, so it might be lame, but I've found lots of neat things that I want to show you lovely readers....first I *SO* want this for Jenny...
It's a magnetic advent calendar...how cute is that! I found it here at The Catholic Shop's website. I'm thinking it will be on the perfect level for Jenny...getting to choose which piece we put up each day...I'm hoping to get it this weekend so that it will be here by the time we get home from our time with my grandparent's.

Next, I have to draw your attention to a few blogs. First and foremost...I am in awe of Miss Sarah Jane over at Romantic History, who made her own dress form. No, not the funny lookin' ducked tape kind, but, well, go look for yourself. Her sewing is all beautiful, so perhaps you can take a minute and look over her other sewing. I can't wait to try this!!

Lily over at the wonderful, Block-a-day blog is doing a giveaway...I probably should have brought this up before, but it didn't occur to me until today. So, go over answer her question and get a chance to win...or don't, and my chances will be better...either way. ;-)

Crawling Back

That's how I feel anyway...big promises about regular posting...lots of "pictures to come"...and then I go on vacation and don't even say a word. Not a word. Not a picture. Nothing. I wouldn't blame you if you all just found other blogs to read. This being said, I ask that you bare with me a bit longer as my blog under goes an extensive fall cleaning. With a bit of luck there will be some big news when I start back up!

In the mean time ladies, if you simply leave a comment listing your favorite thing about fall and your favorite fall cleaning chore, you will be entered into a "re-opening" give away!! I hope you enjoy the surprise!

Wow!

Looks like not only another baby, but another TV special is on the way for the Duggar family! It is especially funny to see this news story today, since I was just watching some of the other specials on their family that my mom had taped for me. :)

Tagged!

I've been tagged by Lauren over at With Humility, Thankfulness, and Rejoicing for Six Un-important Things!

The rules for this meme are: (1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

Here goes:

1. I can not stand wearing navy blue socks...it actually makes me grumpy!

2. I desperately want a french-terri pullover, in a medium gray-blue, I have for years, but for some reason have never gotten one...

3. I really don't like cooking...I generally like the results, but I view cooking as a chore...unlike folding laundry, which I just love.

4. I own over 100 sewing patterns... *ahem*

5. I have a latex allergy...this includes (for some mystical reason I've yet to research further), tomatoes, pineapples and (of course) band aids...

6. I love oiling wood furniture... like with a rag and that old english wood oil...it's my favorite part of spring/fall cleaning!

I tag Eli, and Ducky (if you want to/feel like it!)

7. YOUR WITNESS PROTECTION NAME (mother's middle name and father's middle name): Anne Todd (Tarbet is weird, isn't it?)

Update on little girl artist...

Okay, Joe's been looking into some of the interviews/articles with her and her family. Evidently it all started when at age 4 she went to her mom and told her she was having visions of Heaven...okay. Her mom *was* (lol) and Atheist, and they had never discussed God or Heaven...o....kay? Anyways, just though I'd share.
