Ric-Rac and Embroidery Floss

I don't have much in the way of a post today, but I thought I'd share what's coming tomorrow! Its to dark to get decent pictures of them, but I spent the day making up Jenny's winter bedding. I know it might sound odd to wait until the end of January, but I didn't even notice a need for it until it finally got cold! So, lovingly sewn, and ready to go on her bed tomorrow during her bath, are a new flannel fitted sheet, a matching flannel pillow case (with ric-rac trim!), and a wonderfully girly pink and purple butterfly strip quilt. :-D I backed the quilt with flannel, so even though she's not ready to deal with the hassle of a top sheet, she'll be snuggly sandwiched between layers of flannel. I'm really amazed at how quickly it all went together...the quilt took about 45 minutes total, from cutting out the strips to tying it, and the bottom sheet and pillow case only took about an hour total. I think that they'll go faster next time I make them, now that I know what I'm doing!

Tomorrow I'll post pictures of everything, and if the pictures turned out, a brief tutorial on how I tie quilts...not as elegant as hand quilting, but infinitely faster! :)
