Lately I've been busy making up a moses basket liner and sheets for the little moses basket that I got Zac and Heather for their first baby. I had picked up the fabric when Heather was first pregnant, and have been hanging onto it until she had decided what she wanted done with it. After a bit of thinking and measuring, I came up with this!
It's lined with poly-batting, and backed with plain white cotton.
For the sheet I just traced the mattress and added 4" all around...I used 1" for a casing, just folding 1/2" over twice and threading elastic through. I have to pick up more elastic before I make the rest...I think I should have enough for 4 sheets. Isn't it just adorably cute? :)
I just love the little monkey faces! Instead of trying to gather it to the bottom lining, I just did a large pleat on each side, and I think it worked well. Now all that has to happen is for Miss Zoey to get here!!! :)
