Detials...

I'm only two posts away from my 100th! I know some people hit this mark within a few months of blogging, but I'm just glad that after a year not only am I still here, but so are my loyal fans. :) So I was looking around for a way to celebrate...it seems I have two options. The first is to list 100 things about myself....um, I don't think that really sounds like it would be much fun for any of you. The second is a giveaway. So that's my plan! :) I will draw a winner on my 100th-ish (lol) post. So sometime next week, after I'm back from the Fair. All you have to do to be entered is leave a comment on this post before I do the drawing. Family of the blog owner are allowed/required to comment on this one! ;-) "The twist" is that this is going to be a surprise prize. All the more fun for you, right? :-) I'm very excited to be doing my first giveaway and I hope you all have fun!

In other news I am FINISHED with the costumes!! :) I have a few tiny details, like hooks and eyes, and that sort of thing, but everything is done! :) Jenny got the least exciting costume, as I was pretty tired of sewing these things at that point...so she got a simple jumper made out of leftover fabric from my skirt. I will post lots of pictures after we get back!!

I'm sooooo excited to be getting back to normal next week! :) Fall cleaning and decorating will be in full swing, and Joe has even taken a few days off to help me get my sewing room all fixed up and painted! :-D (insert happy dance here) I picked a soft shade of yellow called "Yellow Ribbon"...with a name like that how could I turn it down??? I still have to find fabric for curtains and all the various things I have planned for in there, but there's still plenty of time for that after I get it all painted. I'm hoping that I might even get the downstairs hallway painted while he's here to keep Jenny busy.

After all that is done I can start on our fall/winter sewing. I'm trying to do as much sewing for Jenny and myself as I can, so it's a big list! :) I have fabrics all picked out for her jumpers and pajamas...I'm going to even look into making her some simple tops for underneath them. Oh, and incase anyone is interested, Simplicity has come out with some new men's patterns! Finally, huh? I especialy like #3707, and #3651. I'm also eyeing nightgown #3636, and isn't costume #3663 cute?? :-) (BTW, DUCKY- have you seen # 3645?--lots of options!)

Well that should be it for now, before I bore you all to the point where you forget to comment for the giveaway!

Okay...I'm sooooo excited about this giveaway! Please count me in :-)

I'd love to know how you find time to sew so much for you and Jenny? I am unsure of how to make the time. I really want to sew for me and the girls especially but even for my men once in awhile! I just can't seem to nail down the time along with enerything else...sigh...
Any thoughts?

Lots of love,
Sommer

Oh, I just know it will be something Boy Scout related! OK, that was funny, I know. Tilly, I'm very pleased with your blog--it helps me keep up with your life, especially on the weekends we drag Joseph off to the woods.

Keep writing!
