Well, I'm off to a good start. :) I haven't gotten quite as much done as I would have liked, but that's definitely my fault!! I just haven't been able to tear myself away from the Amelia Peabody audio books long enough to get much sewing done. But I've gobbled up all of the stories that are currently at my disposal so maybe I'll be more productive this week. :)
I did manage to make a pair of pj pants for Joe (what a hit!!). My grandmother says that the only thing to watch out for is that when you sew for husbands they'll keep it FOREVER!! lol That's okay I guess??
I also made a trial nightgown for me (I need to "tweek" the arms a bit), a skirt for me that is *nearly* done, and a t-shirt dress for Jenny. It's sooo cute!! I can't wait to get the rest of them done! I have to figure out my next thing with pre-washed fabric though because I need to catch up on some of the pre-made clothing before I can wash my new fabrics. :) I ordered several knits from www.fabric.com (or maybe it's "fabrics"??) and they are SO nice! I liked that I was able to order 100% cotton because JoAnn's didn't have much as far as they go.
My grandparents came into town last night and leave tomorrow morning, so today has been busy with breakfast at my parents' house with EVERYONE, then back here to clean and get ready for our Tupperware party, then after that we had dinner back at the folk's house and we made it home by about 8:30. Poor Jenny only napped for about 30 minutes today and held up so well, but once we laid her down in her crib, she rolled over and closed her eyes...not one peep! :)
Well I'm off to see if I can squeeze in a bit more work before bed. Happy weekend!
