Less is More

First let me wish everyone a happy fall!! This is my favorite season...I feel like winter could be my favorite season, but we don't really get winter in Virginia...just naked trees and bare ground. I was over at my mom's house the other evening and they were reading Farmer Boy, and it was saying how in the wonderfully sheltered part of the barn yard, there was almost never more than 2ft. of snow..... I can count the number of times I've seen that much snow on one hand. Hmmm, I've gotten off topic...

Happy Fall!! I am really excited for the change of seasons, this fall especially. I am ready for the change....in need of it. It is going to be a time of big change for our family too. We have all settled into a bit of a rut and it's just time to wipe the slate clean and start fresh. Those weeks of super heat that we had near the end of summer was just to much for us.... we got a bit to used to just lazing about trying to stay cool. The house has suffered from it, the kids have suffered from it, and goodness nows I have. I am one of those people who does *really well* with a consistent schedule, routines, bedtimes etc. And right now it's just not happening. Our days involve way to much computer time (and for the little Doodles, way to much "Max and Ruby" time!) and not enough reading, playing and cleaning. ;) So starting on Monday--well, Sunday night really, (we have a big weekend and need to just make it through the week, without any earth shaking changes!) we will be starting a new schedule, complete with chore lists, daily and weekly routines, all the good stuff. :) I know it will be bumpy, but it has to be better than this. Every time we start potty training, something comes up and we drop it, so Miss Jenny will finally be able to graduate from diapers. (yay!!!) This will mean allot less computer vegging for Mama, and as close to no TV for the Doodles as possible (I am realistically viewing this, and while things settle into place there might be a Max and Ruby or two). However I do still have some computer time carved into the evening, so I will have a set time each day for blogging, blog reading etc. So hence the post title, Less computer time will actually = more blogging. :) I have so many ideas that I really can't wait to get started! Remember that this blog is going to be my primary family journal blog, and While the Water Boils will be my homemaking blog, with all of my projects, recipes, menus and such. So if this blog looks oddly lacking in craft posts just go over there for a peak! So...I will be back on Monday with (hopefully!!) a report on our first day... I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
