Balitmore!!

Ahhh....home again, home again! On Friday-just after lunch, I loaded up my sweet babies and a suit case worth of clothing and ventured into the unknown...yep... driving in four lanes of traffic!! *Gasp* *Cough* *Wheeze* NEVER AGAIN! lol After missing my exit (I misunderstood the directions...sigh) and calling my hubby -only sightly in tears- to get new directions, I made it to his office building and happily handed over the job of chauffeur. Did I mention that both kids were screaming?? I don't think I've ever been so happy to see my Joey!!

Why would I put myself through all this? To get to Baltimore of course! It was a combination birthday gift for Jenny and myself. My part was staying in a lovely hotel and getting to pick the eating locations...two of my favorite things! For an extra touch-and as a polite nod to the fact that we had our honeymoon in Baltimore, Joey had them put a rose petal heart on the bed and there was a lovely box of Godiva chocolates! Needles to say I felt like a princess. :-) Where did I pick for food? Friday night we went to Houlihan's, and got Cheesecake Factory cheesecake to go. Then for lunch today we went to Hard Rock Cafe. Such fun!!! Jenny's part of the trip was going to the Baltimore Aquarium. She LOVED it! Anthony was great the whole time sleeping in the sling we borrowed it from Heather. We didn't know ahead of time that the aquarium was a stroller-free zone. So Jenny had to walk it...she did a great job! We finished it all up with the dolphin show- they're so cute! Jenny thought it was really fun to watch them waving and splashing. :-)

I have to put in a plug for that afore mentioned sling too. You can find them HERE. I carried Anthony, who is now 18lbs. (gasp!! that's 6-9 month sized clothing and size 3 diapers!!! He's 8 weeks on Tuesday for what it's worth...) around from 10:00 until 3:30 with an hour or so out for lunch. My back is still tense from driving, but it's no worse than it was Friday night. Baby loved it too...as long as I kept moving, he kept sleeping! The long ties that criss-cross in the back spread the weight out great and my neck isn't even a little sore. :) I'm in love. :)

I must now go makeup for all that sleep and driving time and nurse Mr. Anthony. ;-)

ps) notice something missing? Yep...I forgot my camera.... sigh....

Sounds like a wonderful time! I miss going to aquariums, even though there is a relatively close one, in Chicago. I haven't been to one for ages! How sweet about the rose petal heart and chocolates!!! :) And the sling looks wonderful. I want to make one for New Baby before it gets here.

Sounds like a wonderful time! What a romantic hubby!

My little guy was 16lb 4oz at two months. He's almost twelve now -- tall and very lean. You'd never believe he was a little chubber so many years ago. :-)

I love the new look on your blog! Did you actually take a picture of a scrapbook page for your header?
