Life...such as it is!

Wow! Sunny and 70* here in Virginia today..simply glorious! I love how spring-y everything is now...all the bulbed plants are coming up, grass is getting green and thick...I even got to smell fresh cut grass today, thanks to our neighbor! We will be getting our lawnmower over the weekend, and then my brother Zane will be taking care of cutting our grass for us this summer...I'm glad to be able to check that off of my list! :-D

This morning Jenny and I moved the nursery around to make it pretty, while still allowing for both the crib and Jenny's little bed, along with the dresser they will be sharing. Jenny helped me to "PUSH" the furniture into place, then stood very still in the door way while I vacuumed the carpet and replaced the area rug. I'm going to hang some artwork up in there (hopefully over the weekend when I will have Joe to help me get things straight!), and that will pretty much take care of the decorating until this summer when I paint. We even got the crib bedding washed and put on! Jenny has decided that Anthony will like having a bed with fishies. :) I still have to make her summer bedding, but her room still gets cool at night, so I have at least a little while longer to get that done. I have the fabric for sheets and pillow cases...I just have to decide what to do for a blanket...We're hoping to not run the A/C to much, except for the 6 (ish) weeks at the end of July and beginning of August where it gets to hot to be safe for little people, so I don't want anything to warm...I'm thinking about crocheting her a simple blanket, and just making her some fitted-at-the-bottom top sheets...I'll be sure to post pictures, whatever I do! I would share pictures of the room now, but I still can't seem to find the camera. :-(

I had another doctor's appointment today. My blood pressure is still reading a bit high, but lower than it was on Wednesday. Since I'm not having any high blood pressure symptoms (spots in vision, etc.), she's decided that having me come in for weekly appointments a bit earlier than normal is all that I need to do to watch it. I'm also supposed to drink a gallon of water a day (time to cave and get that Klean Kanteen!) and "rest more than I'm up"...though she was careful to not in any way use the words "bed rest"! (How would you do that with a 2 year old, anyway??) So I figure I'll get lots of sewing done, because that's all sitting, and I can prop my feet up under the table...and cleaning will just happen in little bursts throughout the day as I can. I imagine that between drinking all that water, and the constant bathroom trips that is likely to result in, I will be hard pressed to get much rest or work done! ;-) I've been reading the Little House series though, so that is another good excuse to rest...

So there is my life as of now...tomorrow we make our big trip to costco and we're taking the many wonderful siblings who helped us move (esp. since I was unable to do anything!) out to dinner, so I doubt I'll be on to post over the weekend...I hope you all have a good one!
